FAME Appoints Langston Hughes II as Artistic Director of the FAME Jazz Band

FAME Founder & CEO, A. Toni Lewis, proudly announced the appointment of  Langston Hughes II as the new Artistic Director of the FAME Jazz Band.

Langston’s journey—from FAME student to teaching artist and mentor—embodies everything our organization stands for. A Juilliard-trained saxophonist and educator, his career spans Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway, and major stages across the country.

As Artistic Director, Langston will continue to inspire the next generation of musicians through excellence, access, and community engagement.
