FAME Musicians Play Major Roles in Prince George’s County (PGC) Honors Band and All State Concert Band

 

On December 15th, violinist, violist and Billboard charting recording artist Chelsey Green, welcomed FAME students and board members to Blues Alley. Her performance was captivating and inspirational to the students.

 

PGC Honors Band

Imanuel Cooper – Drummer for Elementary School Chorus

In February, Brandon Seaforth will serve as first chair trombonist and Cydni Brown as first chair clarinetist representing Prince George’s County in the All-State Concert Band.

FAME was selected to present its FAME Jazz Band Program composed of Prince George’s County musicians, to perform at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival on January 26, 2019.   This Berklee College of Music event is the largest of its kind in the United States and will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. This will be our second visit.

 

Many thanks to the Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity at the University of Maryland who donated five instruments (2 flute, clarinet, trumpet, and alto sax) in December 2018.
