This event is produced annually at local arts venues to give youth an opportunity to perform and study with professional musicians and recording artists, inform the community of the importance of music and cultural arts in the lives of our youth, and to advocate for cultural arts education. This concert raises awareness of the importance of keeping live music in our schools. Additionally, the event provides opportunities for senior citizens to learn about available community resources and gives them an opportunity to network with each other and their government representatives.

This year’s production is presented in partnership with The Honorable Obie Patterson (District 8), FAME-Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education, and Oxon Hill High School.
